Our Story

Kennebec Meat Co. opened its doors to the public in May of 2022 with the goal of providing the mid-coast Maine community with high quality meat and provisions at a reasonable price. The founders of the company, the Raymond family from Georgetown, found themselves driving farther and farther to consistently find high quality, locally sourced meat and meat-related products. Given their love for the mid-coast Maine area, the Raymonds decided to open a shop in Bath to serve the mid-coast community.

Our vision is based on three key principles:

Quality: Everything at Kennebec Meat Co. represents our focus on quality – from the prime-grade local meat we offer to the beer, wine, snacks, and go-to provisions people enjoy, every product is measured by the quality of the product and those that produced it. We work with local farms and our beef, pork, chicken, lamb, duck and other game are mostly processed on site with an eye to providing the highest quality available.

Customer Service: We are here to assist you in selecting and preparing the food you buy at our shop. Feel free to ask our staff any questions you have and if you would like to see us offer something in our shop that we don’t currently offer, please let us know. Information about our products, recipes that may interest you and the best tools to do the job are our focus every day.

Uniqueness: We strive to offer products that are generally not available in our community and that we think you are sure to enjoy.

Meet Our Crew

Jordan Raymond

General Manager

An avid meat eater, meat smoker and all-around meat connoisseur, Jordan brought his passion and butchery expertise to the table and is currently the General Manager of our shop located at 215 Water Street in Bath, ME. Always looking for the best of everything, Jordan has been instrumental in finding unique items from all over the world to showcase in our shop. Jordan lives in Woolwich and enjoys his time with his three dogs – Atticus, Pluto and Loki.

Patrick Tweetie

Assistant General Manager & Head Butcher

Patrick previously worked at Rosemont Market as a butcher and grew to love the craft of whole animal butchery, which is something we love sharing with our customers. Patrick has introduced us to the local Maine farming community and his experience and culinary creativity has strengthened our commitment to provide the highest quality and best customer service. Patrick enjoys the outdoors as an avid skier, hiker and all-around fun lover.
